Superintendent Jennifer McKittrick said the bus, identified as the “Donald” bus, struck a car that was waiting to turn from Michigan Ave onto Collison Way. Parents were contacted after the collision, and medical personnel checked students for possible injuries.
The students remained under observation following the wreck, according to McKittrick. No injuries were confirmed in the initial report.
