Woodstock, GA (August 26, 2026) – A 79-year-old man was killed, and two students suffered minor injuries on Tuesday morning, August 25, in a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus at Main Street and Highway 92. The collision happened at approximately 6:43 a.m.
Police said the man was driving the other vehicle involved and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Twenty students were riding on the school bus at the time. Two suffered minor injuries. One was released to a parent for further medical evaluation, while the other was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
The bus driver and the remaining students were reported safe.
Investigators had not determined the cause of the crash, and the intersection was affected while emergency crews worked at the scene. We extend our sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the man who died, and we hope the two injured students recover fully.
