Branford, CT (August 28, 2026) – A scooter rider was injured on Wednesday night, August 26, after being struck by a vehicle on Route 1 near Orchard Hill Road in Branford. The collision happened at approximately 8:30 p.m.
According to Branford police, the rider was traveling east on Route 1 when a vehicle pulled out from a nearby business and entered the rider’s path.
The scooter operator was injured and taken to a local hospital for evaluation. The driver received an infraction for failing to grant the right of way, but authorities continue reviewing the crash.
