Los Angeles, CA (August 28, 2026) – A motorcycle rider was killed on Tuesday, August 26, after falling from a motorcycle on southbound I-405 near the US-101 interchange.
The rider was then run over by vehicles traveling in the freeway’s fast lanes, according to the initial report. A coroner was requested, and the death was confirmed shortly afterward.
All southbound lanes were temporarily stopped near Burbank Boulevard as traffic was diverted. Lanes were later reopened, though information about the person’s identity had not been released. The circumstances leading to the fatal collision remain under investigation.
