Springfield, MA (June 26, 2026) – Several people were hurt in a three-vehicle wreck along Interstate 91 south in Springfield on Wednesday afternoon.
The collision occurred at approximately 2:33 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, near mile marker 4.8. According to the Massachusetts State Police, all three vehicles involved were removed from the roadway by tow trucks following the crash.
Several people were taken to Baystate Medical Center by ambulance for treatment. The exact number of patients and the severity of their injuries were not immediately released.
The roadway experienced traffic delays while crews worked to clear the vehicles. Normal traffic flow resumed at about 3:28 p.m. Investigators are continuing to determine what led to the collision.
