SEVILLE TOWNSHIP, Gratiot County, Mich., Nov. 4, 2026 — A 43-year-old Saginaw woman died on Tuesday afternoon, November 3, in a crash involving multiple vehicles on West Monroe Road, the Gratiot County Sheriff's Office said. The crash happened shortly before 4 p.m.
A vehicle had slowed or stopped on West Monroe Road to turn into a driveway. A second vehicle, driven by a 36-year-old Edmore man, slowed or stopped behind it to allow the turn. A third vehicle, driven by a 41-year-old Vestaburg woman, reportedly failed to stop in time and rear-ended the second vehicle. The impact pushed that vehicle into the eastbound lane, where it collided head-on with a fourth vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle struck head-on was pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff's office identified her as a 43-year-old woman from Saginaw.
The sheriff's office said investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. No other injuries were detailed in the release, and the crash remains under investigation.
