Shreveport, LA (January 20, 2026) – A 26-year-old pregnant woman was evaluated by emergency medical services after suffering back pain in a rear-end collision on W Bert Kouns Industrial Loop on January 19. The woman, who is six months pregnant, was a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Crews responded promptly to the scene, where the woman reported generalized back discomfort. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time, and the vehicle sustained minor damage to the rear. No airbags were deployed during the impact, and she denied any neck pain or loss of consciousness.
EMS reported stable vital signs upon transport, and the woman was breathing normally without supplemental oxygen. She was taken to a local hospital for further assessment and care due to her pregnancy and ongoing pain symptoms.
Authorities have not released additional information about the driver or whether other vehicles were involved. The crash remains under review by local officials.
Our thoughts are with the injured woman and her unborn child, and we wish them both a safe and smooth recovery.
