What Information Is Commonly Reviewed After a Multi-Vehicle Highway Crash?
Multi-vehicle crashes require investigators to review the movement of each vehicle before and after the collision. Vehicle damage, roadway evidence, traffic conditions, and witness statements can help explain how the crash unfolded.
Investigators may also examine factors such as vehicle speed, following distance, and driver reactions when reviewing a chain-reaction crash. The positions of the vehicles after impact can provide information about the direction and force of the collisions. These details help create a clearer understanding of the circumstances surrounding a multi-vehicle accident.
