Warrensburg, MO (May 21, 2026) – Three people were hurt Wednesday afternoon after a head-on collision on Missouri Business 13 Highway near Warrensburg in Johnson County. The accident happened at 2:39 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20. A southbound Dodge Durango braked and began skidding, crossed the center of the roadway, and struck a northbound Hyundai Tucson.
The 58-year-old driver of the Durango, from Warrensburg, was seriously hurt and flown by life flight to a regional medical center. The 28-year-old driver of the Tucson, from Higginsville, and a 36-year-old male passenger from Warrensburg both suffered moderate injuries and were taken by ground transport to a nearby hospital. Both vehicles were towed from the crash site: the Tucson was totaled, and the Durango sustained extensive damage.
