Smyrna, DE (January 21, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a serious three-vehicle accident with entrapment reported at the intersection of Brenford Rd and Rabbit Chase Ln in Smyrna on the morning of January 21.
The crash occurred around 8:44 AM and involved multiple departments, including units from Smyrna (44), Clayton (45), Smyrna EMS (64), Delaware State Police, and Kent County medics. Initial reports from first-arriving crews confirmed that three vehicles were involved and that at least one individual was trapped inside a vehicle.
Rescue personnel began extrication procedures immediately upon arrival. Although DSP Aviation Trooper 4 was initially requested for medical air transport, it was later determined that aviation services would not be required for this incident.
