South Bend, IN (January 10, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to an injury crash late Friday morning at the intersection of West Sample Street and South Olive Street in South Bend, prompting a multi-unit dispatch from local fire and medical services.
The collision occurred around 11:27 a.m. on January 9 and involved at least two vehicles. South Bend Fire Department units, including Engine 5, Medic One, and Medic 1661, were sent to the scene after reports indicated that individuals involved in the crash had suffered injuries.
Upon arrival, medics began assessing the injured parties and providing treatment at the scene. While the exact number of people hurt and the extent of their injuries were not immediately released, officials confirmed that at least one person required medical attention as a result of the collision.
