Creedmoor, NC (August 19, 2026) – A South Granville High School student died in a car crash on Monday morning, August 17, while driving to school on US Highway 15, according to Granville County Public Schools. The city of Creedmoor identified her as Emma Wallace, whose father serves as the Creedmoor School Resource Officer.
A witness said Wallace was driving south around 7:45 a.m. when her car collided with a northbound vehicle. The other driver remained at the scene; their name and condition have not been released.
Creedmoor’s police chief and school district officials both expressed condolences to Wallace’s family, teammates, and the broader school community.
