Injury Risks After Rollover Crashes With Ejections
Rollover crashes can cause severe injuries because a vehicle may strike the road more than once before stopping. People inside may be thrown against windows, doors, seats, or other parts of the vehicle.
Ejection from a vehicle greatly increases the risk of life-threatening harm. A person may hit the roadway, nearby objects, or debris after being thrown from the vehicle.
Medical teams often check for head injuries, spinal trauma, broken bones, internal injuries, and severe bleeding after these crashes. Highway rollover scenes may also require lane closures while emergency units treat patients, inspect the area, and remove damaged vehicles.
