Springfield, MA (January 9, 2026) – A woman suffered serious injuries on Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle in Springfield, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. near the intersection of Page Boulevard and Ardmore Street. Officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to the scene following reports of a pedestrian-involved crash. Upon arrival, they found the injured woman and began coordinating with emergency medical personnel.
She was quickly transported to Baystate Medical Center with injuries described as serious. Her current condition has not yet been made public.
Springfield Police spokesperson Ryan Walsh confirmed that the driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The department’s traffic unit has taken over the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
