St. Francois, MO (January 25, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision early on Friday morning resulted in injuries and significant damage along US-67 near Hildebrecht Rd in St. Francois County, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
The accident occurred on January 23 at approximately 7:51 a.m. when a northbound 2014 Volkswagen Passat collided with a 2020 GMC Terrain that had reportedly failed to yield while attempting to cross the highway. The impact left both vehicles disabled, with the Volkswagen sustaining total damage and the GMC sustaining moderate damage. Boyd’s Towing responded to the scene to remove both vehicles.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a 20-year-old male from Farmington, was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash but sustained injuries. He was transported by private vehicle to Parkland Health Center in Farmington for treatment. The 64-year-old female driver of the GMC, also from Farmington, was reportedly uninjured. Both individuals were insured through GEICO.
Troopers from Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C, including MSGT A. Shibley and CPL K. Roney, responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate the contributing factors of the collision. No citations or charges have been reported at this time.
