St. Louis, MO (January 9, 2026) – A woman was injured on Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash along eastbound I-70 at MO-115 in St. Louis County after her vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with another car.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:13 p.m. on January 8. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2012 Ford Escape driven by a 23-year-old woman from St. Charles traveled off the right side of the road before the front of the vehicle struck the rear driver’s side of a 2006 Chrysler 300. Both vehicles were headed eastbound at the time.
The woman sustained injuries and was transported by Berkeley Fire personnel to SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis. Authorities confirmed she had been wearing a seat belt. The driver of the Chrysler, a 19-year-old man from Bridgeton, was not reported injured.
The Ford Escape was declared a total loss and towed by A2B Towing, while the Chrysler 300 suffered extensive damage and was removed by a personal tow. No insurance coverage was listed for the Chrysler.
Trooper S.C. Clair of Troop C is overseeing the investigation, with assistance provided by TPR D.J. Bittick. The events leading to the initial roadway departure remain under review.
