St. Petersburg, FL (January 24, 2026) – A deadly crash was reported late Friday morning, January 23, on the southbound side of I-275 near mile marker 30 in St. Petersburg, Pinellas County.
The collision occurred at approximately 11:43 a.m., prompting a response from emergency personnel. Despite efforts by first responders, at least one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim or additional details about the number of vehicles involved.
The fatal accident took place on January 23 along a busy stretch of I-275, a major artery through the St. Petersburg area. Although the roadway was later cleared, the crash caused significant delays while authorities conducted their on-scene investigation.
