Stoneham, MA (August 11, 2026) – A Massachusetts State Police trooper suffered minor injuries early Monday, August 10, after a vehicle struck his parked cruiser on the shoulder of Interstate 93 North in Stoneham.
The crash happened shortly before 2:30 a.m. The trooper, assigned to the Medford Barracks, reported that his cruiser was parked on the shoulder beside the breakdown lane when it was struck. At least two other vehicles were involved, including a Honda Civic and a Toyota Camry.
The Honda sustained heavy visible damage, while details about injuries to other people were not released. The circumstances surrounding the multi-vehicle crash remain under investigation. We are thinking of the injured trooper and anyone else affected as they recover.
