Mono County, CA (July 17, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident involving a red SUV and a dark gray SUV was reported on Friday afternoon on northbound US-395 at the SR-120E junction.
The collision was reported at approximately 1:43 p.m. Initial dispatch information indicated both vehicles were involved in the roadway collision, although the reporting party was unable to confirm whether anyone was hurt. Later updates classified the crash as a broadside collision, and one northbound lane was blocked while crews worked on-site.
Tow trucks were requested for both vehicles as they were unable to continue traveling after the collision. The identities of those involved and the extent of any injuries were not immediately released. The cause of the wreck remains under investigation as additional information becomes available.
