Tacoma, WA (January 26, 2026) – At least one person was injured in a traffic collision on Interstate 5 near 38th St in Tacoma early Sunday morning, as emergency crews responded to the scene under challenging weather conditions.
The crash was reported around 7:30 a.m. on January 25 and occurred during a period of icy roads and dense fog, which created hazardous driving conditions throughout the area. Multiple emergency units, including medical teams, were dispatched to assist with the incident and to help manage traffic along the affected stretch of I-5.
Upon arrival, responders evaluated the injured parties and provided on-scene care. The extent of the injuries and the number of vehicles involved have not yet been officially confirmed. Authorities worked to secure the area, ensure driver safety, and restore traffic flow as quickly as possible.
