Motorcycle Collisions on Busy City Corridors
Arterial roads near Thomasville Road often carry steady volumes of traffic throughout the day and evening. When serious crashes occur in Tallahassee, responders may temporarily close lanes to secure the scene and protect those involved.
Motorcycles are smaller than passenger vehicles, which can make them harder for drivers to notice in traffic. When a collision occurs between a motorcycle and a larger vehicle, the rider often faces greater risk due to the limited protection offered by a motorcycle.
Busy urban corridors may include multiple lanes, turning vehicles, and frequent business entrances. These factors can affect visibility and reaction time, which may increase the likelihood of a crash involving a motorcycle.
