What Information Is Often Reviewed After a Semi-Truck Rollover on an Interstate?
After a rollover involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck, investigators commonly review several types of evidence to better understand how the vehicles came into contact. This can include traffic camera footage, skid marks, vehicle positioning, and roadway conditions at the time of the crash. Even dry pavement and clear weather can still leave questions about speed, spacing, or lane movement.
Vehicle damage patterns are also commonly examined to help determine how the overturn happened. In some cases, onboard truck data systems may provide details about braking or vehicle movement before the rollover. Medical reports may later help clarify the severity of injuries, especially when a driver is treated at a hospital following the incident.
