Minerva, OH (September 12, 2026) – A head-on crash involving a car and a semi-truck killed a 17-year-old Minerva teen Thursday afternoon, September 10, on US 30. The collision occurred around 12:19 p.m. near milepost 11 after the car crossed the median.
The teen was driving a 2013 Ford Fusion eastbound when the vehicle left the left side of the roadway. The car crossed the grassy median and entered the westbound lanes, where it struck a 2018 Mack truck. Both vehicles left the roadway and entered a wooded area on the north side.
The 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene by the Stark County Coroner’s Office. The 75-year-old man driving the Mack truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to Aultman Hospital by ambulance.
