How Red-Light Violations Can Lead to Serious Collisions
Crashes at intersections often happen when drivers fail to stop at red lights. These situations can lead to high-speed impacts, especially when one vehicle is moving through the intersection as expected. The force of these collisions can cause significant damage and increase the chance of injury.
Passengers, especially children, may be more vulnerable in such accidents. Even with safety restraints, sudden impacts can lead to head injuries or other trauma. A quick medical evaluation helps identify issues that may not be immediately visible.
Traffic signals are designed to safely manage vehicle flow, but their effectiveness depends on drivers following them. Staying alert and obeying signals can help reduce the risk of dangerous intersection crashes.
