Thornton, CO (January 25, 2026) – An accident involving multiple vehicles caused injuries and traffic disruption late Saturday night along West 84th Ave near Fox St and Greenwood Blvd in Thornton.
The crash occurred on January 24 at approximately 10:58 p.m. near local businesses, including El Faldin Mexican Grill and Key Food Estate. Engine 14 and Medic 14 were first to respond, followed by a second medic unit due to the severity of injuries reported at the scene. Officials confirmed the eastbound lanes of W 84th Ave were shut down temporarily as emergency crews worked in front of a nearby Popeyes restaurant.
A female occupant was reportedly complaining of arm and chest pain, along with a possibly broken ankle. Medics provided on-site treatment before transporting her to Springfield Hospital for further care. Additional individuals may have been involved, though no further injuries were detailed during the initial dispatch.
Emergency personnel described the collision as involving heavy damage. Traffic was diverted around the scene as responders managed cleanup and coordinated patient care. Command at the scene was eventually terminated once the area was secured.
