Thorntown, IN (January 25, 2026) – A serious two-vehicle collision on Saturday morning in Boone County left three people with significant injuries, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office. The crash occurred around 11:34 AM at the intersection of State Road 75 and State Road 47 in Thorntown.
Responding officers arrived to find a 2014 white Honda CR-V and a gray Ford F-150 had collided at the rural crossroads. Authorities confirmed that the driver of the Honda, along with both the driver and passenger of the Ford, sustained serious bodily injuries. All three were transported to a nearby hospital for emergency medical care.
Due to the severity of the injuries and the circumstances involved, the Fatal Alcohol Crash Team (FACT) was called in to assist with the investigation. Officials have not released further details about the cause of the crash, whether impairment is suspected, or the current condition of the victims.
The intersection was closed for an extended period as first responders worked the scene and investigators began their assessment. The crash remains under active investigation.
