Howard Co., MO (August 21, 2026) – Three drivers suffered serious injuries on Wednesday afternoon, August 19, in a three-vehicle crash on Missouri Route 87, about 0.16 miles south of Missouri Route 187. The collision happened at approximately 3:30 p.m.
According to the crash report, a southbound 2013 Ford Explorer crossed into the northbound lane and struck a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox before overturning. The Equinox then traveled off the right side of the road and was struck by a northbound 2011 Ford Fusion.
A 75-year-old Salisbury woman driving the Equinox and a 22-year-old Glasgow man driving the Fusion were taken to University Hospital with serious injuries. The 32-year-old Mendon man driving the Explorer was also seriously hurt but declined transport. The Explorer and Equinox were totaled, while the Fusion sustained moderate damage. Authorities continue reviewing the crash.
