Victorville, CA (June 17, 2026) – Three people were brought to a local hospital on Monday morning, June 15, after a two-vehicle collision at Minnetonka Street and Little Beaver Street in Victorville.
The accident happened around 9:45 a.m. Investigators said a white Mazda was traveling northbound on Minnetonka Street and stopped at the posted stop sign before entering the intersection.
A black Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Little Beaver Street, where no stop sign was posted. The Mazda then entered the intersection and came into the Honda’s path, according to the preliminary report.
Emergency units used extrication tools to remove a trapped passenger from the Mazda. Two adults in the Mazda and the only person in the Honda were brought to a local hospital for treatment. Their medical status was not immediately available.
The circumstances surrounding the wreck remain under continued review. We hope all three people receive the care they need and recover steadily.
How Intersection Crashes Can Leave Passengers Trapped
Intersection crashes can be severe when vehicles meet from different directions. The angle of contact may bend doors, shift frames, or block exits, making it hard for someone inside to get out without help.
Extrication tools may be needed when a person is pinned, when a door will not open, or when vehicle damage makes movement unsafe. Crews must often work slowly to avoid making possible injuries worse. This can take extra time, especially when the person is seated near the damaged side of the vehicle.
Stop signs, lane direction, vehicle speed, and sight lines can all affect the seriousness of an intersection accident. Medical checks are often needed after this type of roadway emergency because pain, head trauma, or internal harm may not be clear right away.
