Longs, SC (August 3, 2026) – Three people were injured in a three-vehicle wreck that shut down all lanes of Highway 90 near West Shore Drive on Saturday afternoon, August 1, according to Horry County Fire Rescue. Crews were dispatched around 12:50 p.m.
The three were taken to the hospital with injuries. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating with help from the Horry County Police Department. Drivers were urged to avoid the area while crews worked.

Closing all lanes, rather than just one, also protects responders treating the injured and reduces the risk of a secondary crash near the original one. Once documentation is complete and the roadway is cleared, lanes typically reopen in stages as traffic resumes.
