San Luis Obispo, CA (September 4, 2026) – Three people were hurt on Wednesday afternoon after a motorcycle and vehicle collided near Cal Poly. The collision occurred shortly before 12:57 p.m. at Foothill Blvd and Casa St.
The motorcycle rider, a 24-year-old Paso Robles man, suffered significant, life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital. The other driver, a 58-year-old Santa Maria man, remained at the site and cooperated with the investigation.
The driver and a passenger in the other vehicle were also taken to a hospital with moderate injuries. Crews closed the eastbound side of Foothill Blvd while handling the crash, and the closure later extended between Santa Rosa St and California Blvd. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain under review.
