Ashland Township, MN (June 24, 2026) – Three people sustained injuries following a collision involving a semi-truck and an SUV on Monday morning in Dodge County.
According to authorities, the crash occurred at approximately 10:16 a.m. on June 22 along Highway 56 near milepost 54 in Ashland Township. Investigators reported that a 2022 Peterbilt semi and a 2016 Honda Pilot were both traveling southbound when the vehicles collided.
The driver of the Honda, 49-year-old Luat Xuan Phan of Austin, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to St. Marys Hospital. Two passengers in the SUV, 43-year-old Vien Tran and 5-year-old Daisy Kim Phan, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the same medical facility for treatment.
The driver of the semi, 63-year-old Robert Luce Bonney of Kingman, Arizona, was not injured. Authorities noted that road conditions were dry at the time of the collision. However, they continue to review the circumstances surrounding the crash.
