What Drivers Should Know About Highway Rescue Crashes
Highway crashes that require vehicle rescues can be complex, especially when people are unable to leave damaged vehicles on their own. Emergency units may need to carefully remove occupants while protecting everyone nearby.
Traffic restrictions are often used after a serious roadway collision to provide space for vehicle removal and medical assistance. The time required can depend on vehicle damage, road conditions, and the number of vehicles involved.
Reviews after these crashes may examine vehicle positions, roadway design, and other available details. This information can help explain how the vehicles moved and what factors may have contributed to the collision.
