Milwaukee, WI (September 4, 2026) – Three people were reported with injuries after a car and motorcycle collision near North 43rd Street and West Silver Spring Drive on Wednesday night, September 2.
Two of those hurt were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators continue reviewing the crash. We hope everyone affected receives the care and support needed during recovery.
Why Can Motorcycle Collisions Result in Serious Injuries?
Motorcyclists have less protection around them than occupants of enclosed passenger vehicles. Without a surrounding metal frame, riders may be directly exposed to roadway surfaces or nearby objects during a sudden encounter.
The difference in size and weight between a motorcycle and a passenger car can also affect injury severity. A rider may be thrown from the bike, while the force of contact can place significant stress on the head, chest, arms, or legs.
Helmet use, protective clothing, speed, and the direction of force can influence the type and seriousness of harm. Visibility is another factor because motorcycles have a smaller profile and may be harder for drivers to notice, especially at night or near busy intersections.
