Phoenix, AZ (August 1, 2026) – Three people were hurt in a rollover crash involving a Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputy in north Phoenix early on Friday morning.
The collision happened around 6 a.m. near Interstate 17 and New River Rd. Video from the roadway showed a marked sheriff’s office vehicle off the road near another vehicle that had overturned onto its roof.
According to the sheriff’s office, the deputy was injured, while two people from the other vehicle were taken to hospitals as a precaution. The extent of the injuries was not immediately released. Investigators are continuing to examine what led to the crash, and more information is expected as the review progresses.
