How Building Strikes Often Lead to Serious Injuries
When a vehicle crashes into a building, injuries can happen both inside and outside the structure. People may become trapped under debris or pinned beneath the vehicle, especially if walls, support beams, or storefront materials collapse during the force of the hit.
Rescue crews often use specialized extraction equipment to remove trapped occupants safely. Medical teams then evaluate injuries that may include fractures, head trauma, or internal harm caused by crushing force. Even lower-speed building strikes can lead to major structural concerns depending on the type of property involved.
After these types of wrecks, engineers or emergency personnel may inspect the building to check for damage that could make the structure unsafe. Repairs and cleanup can continue for days after the roadway has reopened.
