Wright Township, MI (June 20, 2026) – Three people were killed in a wrong-way collision early on Friday morning on eastbound Interstate 96 near Marne in Wright Township.
The fatal crash was reported at approximately 3:25 a.m. on June 19 near exit 23. According to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes struck another vehicle carrying a driver and a passenger.
Both vehicles involved were mid-size SUVs. The collision resulted in three fatalities, though the identities of those who died were not released in the initial report.
