Pomona, CA (August 19, 2026) – A gray BMW ended up facing the wrong way in the HOV and No. 1 lanes after a three-vehicle wreck on eastbound SR-60 near Phillips Ranch Road on Monday evening, August 17, according to dispatch logs. The BMW, a white Volkswagen, and a white semi-truck were involved in the crash, which blocked the carpool and left lanes around 6:19 p.m.
The BMW’s occupants declined medical evaluation at first, though injuries were later reported. Freeway service crews took one vehicle off the freeway to Diamond Ranch High School, while another party involved left the scene before officers arrived. The semi’s driver stated he wasn’t involved and that a tire from another vehicle struck his truck.
The roadway was cleared by around 6:52 p.m. The investigation remains ongoing.
