Homer, AK (July 31, 2026) – A three-vehicle collision on Sterling Hwy near Mile 164 on the Kenai Peninsula left at least one person with serious injuries on Wednesday afternoon. The accident was reported at approximately 2:30 p.m.
The collision temporarily closed Sterling Hwy in both directions between Anchor Point and Homer. At least one person was taken to a hospital by helicopter, although the number of people involved and their identities were not immediately released.
