Titusville, FL (January 12, 2026) – A violent wrong-way crash on Interstate 95 early Sunday morning left two people seriously injured and created a chaotic scene near Titusville. The Florida Highway Patrol reported the crash occurred just before 2 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-95.
According to investigators, a Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes at high speed when it collided head-on with a semi-truck. The impact forced the semi off the roadway and onto the grassy shoulder, while the Corolla struck a guardrail before coming to rest along the highway’s edge.
Responding troopers arrived to find the driver of the Corolla missing from the vehicle. After a brief search, the 32-year-old man was located lying in nearby bushes. Both he and his 23-year-old passenger sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the semi-truck was not injured in the collision.
The Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed that charges are pending against the Corolla’s driver as the investigation continues. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved.
