TOMS RIVER, Ocean County, N.J., Oct. 25, 2026 — Two women died, and a third was seriously injured in a multi-vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of Garden State Parkway on Saturday night, October 24, according to the New Jersey State Police.
Troopers were called to the scene near milepost 87 at 9:42 p.m. A preliminary investigation found a Genesis had become disabled in the center lane, with a Freightliner tractor-trailer stopped behind it.

The Honda's driver died in the crash, along with a 32-year-old Syosset, New York, passenger riding in the Ford SUV. The Ford's driver was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The tractor-trailer's driver suffered minor injuries, and no other injuries were reported at the scene.
The state police have not released further details on the sequence of events. The crash remains under investigation.
Our condolences go out to the families and friends of those who lost their lives.
