Torrance, CA (January 5, 2026) – A collision involving a white Tesla and a gray Honda minivan resulted in injuries on Friday morning on West 223rd Street just east of Normandie Avenue, prompting a multi-unit emergency response and blocking traffic lanes during peak commute hours.
The incident occurred around 7:19 a.m. when the two vehicles collided under unknown circumstances. The impact left both vehicles disabled and blocking multiple lanes, causing significant delays in the area.
Emergency responders arrived quickly to evaluate and assist the individuals involved. Paramedics treated at least one person for injuries on site, and additional medical care was provided as needed. The extent of injuries has not been confirmed at this time.
Tow services were requested for both vehicles, including a flatbed for the Tesla and a standard tow for the minivan. Traffic was diverted while cleanup and investigation efforts were underway.
