Rowan County, NC (August 18, 2026) – One person was injured on Tuesday morning, August 18, in a collision involving a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer on U.S. 52 between Crescent Road and Stone Road.
The passenger vehicle occupant became trapped after the crash and had to be extricated before being turned over for medical care. The patient was then taken by ground ambulance to a trauma center.
U.S. 52 was affected while crews worked nearby, but later reopened to traffic.
Authorities continue reviewing available information to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
