Hillsboro, MO (August 1, 2026) – A 42-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash involving a postal vehicle on Old Lemay Ferry Road south of Klable Road in Jefferson County. The collision happened at approximately 10:23 a.m. on Thursday, July 30.
According to the crash report, a southbound motorcycle was traveling on Old Lemay Ferry Road when it approached a vehicle that was turning left after checking for traffic. The motorcycle slowed and began sliding while attempting to avoid the crash, causing it to overturn. The motorcycle rider was ejected, and the front of the motorcycle struck the rear of the other vehicle.
The rider was taken by Rock Township Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South with serious injuries. The crash remains under review.
