Tucson, AZ (January 20, 2026) – Two people are in critical condition following a serious two-vehicle crash involving pickup trucks at the intersection of Mission Rd and Ajo Way in Tucson on Monday afternoon.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. on January 19. Preliminary findings indicate that two pickup trucks collided in the intersection, though the circumstances leading up to the crash have not yet been disclosed.
Emergency responders, including Tucson Fire and Police units, arrived on scene and rendered aid to the individuals involved. Medics transported two patients to a local hospital, where they were listed in critical condition. Their identities have not been released as of this report.
The collision prompted authorities to shut down portions of the roadway for an extended period as crews worked to clear the scene and begin an investigation.
