South Windsor, CT (August 28, 2026) – Emergency crews responded on Wednesday morning, August 26, to a two-car crash with injuries on westbound Interstate 291 near John Fitch Boulevard, before the Bissell Bridge in South Windsor. The incident was reported at approximately 10:07 a.m.
According to the alert, one patient reported head and neck pain while EMS evaluated those involved. A second ambulance was later requested, and additional emergency units responded to help manage the scene.
At approximately 10:37 a.m., one patient was taken by an advanced life support ambulance to Hartford Hospital. A second ambulance arrived shortly afterward.
The incident was placed under control at approximately 10:46 a.m. Investigators continue reviewing the collision.
