Liberty County, TX (August 12, 2026) – Two children died Tuesday morning after a fire broke out at an RV near County Road 3189 and Highway 59 South in Liberty County.
The fire was reported around 5:30 a.m. Firefighters with the Cleveland Fire Department and deputies with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
Authorities said the RV was partially collapsed when firefighters arrived. Crews entered the RV and found the two children inside. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials are continuing to gather information about the circumstances surrounding the children’s deaths and determine what caused the fire. The investigation remains ongoing.
