Jackson County, WI (July 30, 2026) – Two people died on Tuesday night, July 28, after a wrong-way crash involving a passenger vehicle and two semi-trucks on I-94 near Hixton in Jackson County.
The crash happened at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-94 near mile marker 102. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a vehicle was traveling east in the westbound lanes when it collided head-on with a semi-truck. The semi then sideswiped another tractor-trailer traveling nearby.
The two occupants of the passenger vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of both semi-trucks were not injured. Authorities had not released the identities of those who died. The Wisconsin State Patrol continues to investigate the fatal crash.
