Country Club, NY (June 12, 2026) – Two firefighters were injured while battling a residential fire on Thursday morning in the Country Club neighborhood.
The fire was reported just after 9:30 a.m. at a private home on Dwight Place. According to the FDNY, flames were reported on the second floor of the residence, prompting a large emergency response.
More than 70 firefighters and EMS personnel were dispatched to the property as crews worked to contain the fire. During firefighting operations, two firefighters were injured and taken to nearby hospitals.
Officials said both sustained serious injuries, but neither injury was considered life-threatening. Additional information regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of damage to the home was not immediately released. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the fire.
