Elkhart County, IN (June 26, 2026) – Two people were taken to a hospital on Thursday afternoon, June 25, after a five-vehicle accident on the U.S. 20 Bypass in Elkhart County. The collision was reported just before 1:00 p.m.
Baugo Township fire crews said one vehicle had been flipped back onto its tires by bystanders before emergency units arrived. Another pickup truck was still on its side when crews arrived at the scene.
Two people were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. No names, ages, or additional medical details were released in the first report.
Crews cautioned that moving a damaged vehicle can pose additional risk to anyone inside unless there is an immediate danger, such as fire.
