Las Vegas, NV (July 6, 2026) – Two people were hospitalized after a residential structure fire Monday evening in northwest Las Vegas, where firefighters rescued one woman from inside the burning home.
According to Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, crews were dispatched at approximately 6:37 p.m. on Monday, July 6, to a residence in the 7900 block of High Stream Avenue, near Elkhorn Road and Cimarron Road, following reports of a house fire.
A neighbor called 911 after noticing smoke coming from the home’s garage and believing someone was still inside after hearing noises. The first fire engine arrived about four minutes after dispatch.
Firefighters entered the residence and located a fire in the kitchen. During a search of the home, crews rescued an adult woman from inside. The fire was contained to the kitchen, and the primary search was completed by 6:52 p.m.
Authorities said two people, a man and a woman, were transported to University Medical Center Trauma for treatment. Their conditions have not been released.
A total of 13 emergency units, including personnel from the North Las Vegas Fire Department, responded to assist at the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and officials said the scene remains active. We wish those injured a full and speedy recovery.
